Sorry Gilberto:
Sorry Gilberto are Anne von Keller und Jakob Dobers who live in Berlin. They play a couple of instruments, which are much less than themselves. Their folk-sound is influenced by Jonathan Richman and the Go-Betweens. And of course they miss the Moldy Peaches and Brokof and surely they would love to go to Leonard Cohen live at concert. Sorry Gilberto like melodies you can humm along by yourself, inbetween places, on an afternoon. its all about the weather, big citys and small towns and especially about the people, running around, trying to get a grip on something (or maybe on each other).
These songs are shortmovies. somebody has lost the storyboard in the rain, so you can concentrate on faces, sudden movements and the strange guy in the back. if you are into instruments, give a hand to the lazy guitars, the squeeky organs, the swinging basslines, the stoic beats of the rodeo and the little casio. there are voices too. singing about things you already know. but hey: dont you wanna hear about them over and over again?!

Hailing from the small Swedish town of Uddevalla and founded in the year 1995, Lars Wallin and TribeLars have the ability to draw the attention of audiences, telling compelling stories about life, travels and efforts for a more peaceful and prosperous world. Lars Wallin’s songs have influences from the protest/folk music of the 60s, to the prog/reggae/punk of the 70s, to the Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime. The band’s music can be described as a blend from the 1977 Bowery in New York to the Australian bush. Lars Wallin and TribeLars have more than 10 years of experience working with The White Cockatoo Performing Group, an indigenous group hailing from Maningrida, Arnhem Land.
